Instrumentation
We currently have two instruments available for use on the Alluna RC20 telescope: an STL-1001E camera from SBIG Astronomical Instruments, and CCDSPEC from Elliott Instruments. We are also developing a new Zoom Lens Spectrograph (ZLS2) in collaboration with Elliott Instruments. ZLS2 follows in the footpath of the original ZLS, further details of which are available page and in this paper. SBIG STL-1001EFormerly used for imaging with the 14 inch Meade telescope, an STL-1001E camera from SBIG Astronomical Instruments is now mounted to the Alluna telescope. This camera is the primary camera of the UBO and has been used throughout the commissioning process.
Zoom Lens Spectrograph 2A successor to the Zoom Lens Spectrograph originally used for spectrscopy prior to the 2013 upgrade. This instrument is still in development but details of the original can be found here and in this paper. CCDSPECThis instrument was a collaborative development between the UBO and Elliott Instruments. |
