The University of Birmingham Astrophysics and Space Research Group are responsible for the management and overall design of the Heliospheric Imager (HI). HI is part of the Sun Earth Connection Coronal & Heliospheric Investigation (SECCHI) suite of instruments on board the NASA Solar-Terrestrial RElations Observatory. STEREO was launched Wednesday, October 25th 2006, at 8:52 p.m. EDT on a Delta II 7925-10L rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.
